I know there is alot of discussion about energy drinks. what do you think? do the benifits outweigh the risks?
In my oppinion, they can be helpful if used in moderation. If it becomes an "Addiction" it can just be harmfull. If you get to the point where it doesnt help you any more, its just a waste of money.
Im not big into energy drinks. The closest i get is mountain dew,(not an energy drink anyway) but thats just because i like it lol.

I think the benefits outweigh the risks by a ton. they make you feel wide awake and make you feel like you could run a marathon! I just hate when they wear off and you feel dead tired later in the day

damn i voted for i use them instead of i dont. for the record, i dont generaly use energy drinks.
i agree that in moderation the benifits outweigh the risks but when you are stupid and have like 2 in a half hour and have to call the EMT because you think your heart is going to stop, it isnt worth it (yeah that happened to my friend)
also, after a while you get used to them so much that they dont work anymore, but your still "Addicted" to them wich is when the become a money sink. A few of my friends have one about every other morning, and they seem to help them. i think it also depends on your phsical build. For me, every once and a while i wish i had one but for the most part i dont realy need them

Energy drinks are alright, but I think people shouldn't be relying on them on a daily basis. A ton of people I know will chug a can of monster in the morning, but don't do any kind of activity at school. Like, just drink it if you know you're gonna be busy as heck (get my drift?).
Too many people have conditioned themselves to rely on coffee and energy drinks that they're body will react to those drinks even if they drank like decaf (take it as a good/bad thing). So their mentally is set on "Yeah, I'm energized!"
Well, I guess my point is that energy drinks shouldn't be a part of daily nutrition, coffee and soda is alright, and there's nothing that a good breakfast can't do for you (xD I have bad eating habits too, but I try to get a good breakfast going ever since college started)!

i tend to agree. again, i dont use energy drinks, i made a mistake when i voted. the closest i get is mountain dew. is Voltage (new kind of mountain dew) more like an energy drink that normal mountain dew? it says it has like ginseng or something. if it is thats as close as i get since i had one this morning.

I dunno... usually energy drinks look one way and sodas look another.
I'd have to see what it looks like, since Idaho doesn't get it yet. xD
