So I'm sure that many of you know about the pandemic(epidemic on a global scale) that's going around. I'm just really interested as to how y'all feel about it.
*if you don't know, there is a disease going aroud called swine flu. Basically, it's the regular flu, but the virus is mutated to it's immune to any kind of vaccinations that have ever been created. It's like pig, bird, and human flu. Meaning that it's very easy to get. So about 200 people have died so far and more and more people are being diagnosed with it.

oh yeah i know about this. There are three reported (albeit unconfirmed) cases in the next county over from me. thats only like 45 miles, and its the county where my dad works.....im washing my hands every 10 minuets. not realy but im kinda concerned about it.
I hear that it is not particularly deadly in countries where you can get good healthcare (no offense but thats why most of the deaths are in mexico) and its even less deadly to people that are relativly healthy and not realy old or realy young. Basicaly it is not very likly that if you are a reasonably healty person and you get it in america that yolu will die.

[moving to events board]
it personally makes me glad that I have an extended supply of food, of for some reason it ever escalated enough to where people couldn't leave their homes.
all in all though, I personally don't think that it's gonna become a huge catastrophe or anything. ~Katara~

yeah, I mean, globally, not that many people have actually died yet. But scientists and doctors are being super precautious and checks amost every person who has even the smallest cold.
